my sliding scale committment

image description: along the coast of white sanded beach in Jamaica with a small piece of green lush land jutting out on the left of the picture. blue skies with a few white clouds.

this work grows in community, not isolation. i use a sliding scale model inspired by Jamaican healing herbs — each tier carries its own medicine, and all are needed. you choose the rate that feels possible and honest for you, knowing that every choice sustains access and community care.

i credit Ride Free Fearless Money, J. Cunningfolk, and others for all that i’ve learned from them about sliding scales. i am an anti-capitalist trying to find a way to honour both my need for care and thrivation while acknowledging that the world is on fire and my community needs care as well.

All herbs are medicine. No tier is “better” than another — each plays its role in healing the whole system.

  • Guinea Hen Weed Tier

(Protective, powerful, strengthening the whole system)

For folks with limited financial resources who need access at the lowest rate.

Choose this if paying more would cause hardship or prevent you from joining.

  • Soursop Tier

(Supports digestive and immune health and relaxation)

For folks with some financial stability, able to meet basic needs with care.

A balanced option that supports both your access and the continuation of these offerings.

  • Fever Grass Tier

(Also called “Lemon Grass” in some traditions — used to reduce fevers, ease digestion, and relieve stress)

For folks with steady income and expendable resources, who can comfortably pay more.

Helps sustain the work and create space for others to join at lower rates.

  • Cerasee Tier

(Cleansing, clearing, making way for healing)

For folks with financial privilege, higher income, or organizational support.

Paying here redistributes resources, funds free spots, and invests in long-term sustainability.

  • Spirit Weed Tier (Free Access)

(Also called “Dog Blood Bush” in some traditions — used for cleansing and reproductive healing)

Reserved for Black trans and queer folks in community grief + survival spaces.

These free spots are medicine gifted through community care, made possible by higher tiers and crowdfunding.
